WE ARE BACK
THE BIG FIGHT BOXING is back with an all new challenging white collar boxing event! Bringing amateur boxers together to train for ten weeks, fighters will be put against equally matched opponents to challenge themselves and raise funds for The Grenfell Foundation who will also support Minds United FC and Our Power Hub as partners for this event!
The aim of the Big Fight UK is to help you build confidence, increase your stamina, and challenge yourself, and help support those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy 4 years ago. Training with Jon Durrant, fighters will get into the best shape of their lives.
The Grenfell Foundation was set up at the request of some survivors and bereaved families following the Grenfell Tower fire on 14 June 2017. They provide independent support for the former residents of Grenfell Tower, bereaved families and local community in the areas of Remembrance, wellbeing and awareness of what happened. Please visit https://www.grenfellfoundation.org.uk/ for more information about the charity.
In the weeks and months after the Grenfell fire, people across the country showed incredible generosity to everyone affected and that continues to this day.
The Grenfell Foundation helps to channel that spirit and the funds raised by the Foundation to projects that will provide support to those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy for the long-term, as well as to initiatives that support awareness of what happened and change to ensure nothing similar happens again.
Minds United is a voluntary, peer led organisation whose aim is to use sport as a medium to connect the community and reduce isolation. They aim to improve the 4 elements of wellbeing - social , emotional, physical and mental health - by meeting up regularly for some free, fun and friendly football and a range of wider projects supporting health and wellbeing. Please visit https://mindsunitedfc.com/ for more information on the club.
Our Power Hub was created to support the local community following the tragic Grenfell Tower Fire on the 14th June 2017. The team works closely with the Grenfell Bereaved, Survivors and local Residents, providing free access to events, activities, community enrichment and ad-hoc services as identified and raised by community members. They involve those they support in their decision making process, continuously collaborating with them to develop individual plans as well as group activities, which will help them achieve their desired outcome. Please visit https://www.ourpowerhub.org/ for more information.
