We (Bronte and Erin) are taking part in the Great North Run 2023 to fundraise for Dementia UK.

As many of you will know, our Grandma (Carole) has recently been diagnosed with dementia, and needs a lot of help with things she is gradually finding more difficult. We are hugely fortunate that private care is an option for her, and we are all acutely aware that not everyone is able to access and fund this support.

Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nurse charity. Their nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them.

Any donations you're able to give are hugely appreciated, we'll be posting lots of updates as we go of us enjoying every moment of training, rain or shine. We're starting from Couch to 5K, so have a way to go...

Thank you for helping to support a massively important charity (and indulging our need to feel we are doing something useful in the face a lot of uncertainty and change that we can't control!).
