Story

My sister Jo and I are competing in The 2023 Norfolk Superhero on June 10th.

It's a quadrathlon, so that's a mile sea swim off the Norfolk coast, a four mile double kayak, a cheeky 45 mile bike ride and lastly a ten mile dune run, with the final mile over / in the dykes (for fun!).

Jo has done this before, twice, with her Superhero, ex-professional rugby player husband. I'm a virgin. There's a link attached to the (sunny!) 2017 film so you get a flavour of what's in store.

I'm absolutely terrified. The only ray of hope on the cold and rainy horizon of the training is that we are raising money for 'Nourishing Norfolk'. Jo and I were born to a North Norfolk farming family. We never went hungry and were always nourished with good quality, home-cooked food. Food was and remains an important part of our lives, and the centre of every family occasion. This incredible charity is providing food security, help and support to North Norfolk kids as young as 10. It's hard to imagine what life would be like without food and family, they seem inextricably linked for us.

Please give as generously as you can, both for the benefit of Nourish Norfolk and to help get us through this exhausting challenge. Thank you so much. Sarah and Jo.
