Story
We all know this is a difficult moment for arts funding in Scotland. Please join us in our mission to bring the best possible music education to as many young people as we can.
Charlotte: When I was school-age, my music studies gave me something to work towards, taught me consistency and communication, and brought me joy and a sense of self. Working towards my goals on the violin got me out of bed in the morning with a feeling of hope. It still does.
Andrew: Playing in orchestras from a young age was and still is a highlight of my week and year. Playing with your friends is the best! But, young people also gain so much more than just playing music. Creativity, Social Skills and even academic learning are all benefits of a fun and well rounded musical education. Good right!
As ambassadors, we've seen first-hand how the Benedetti Foundation brings these experiences to young people. Not only that: the foundation also equips early-career musicians like us to pass along the gift we've been given, training us to be the kind of first-rate educators these young people deserve.
Let's make sure that no young person in Scotland misses out on the joy of music-making!
