The Big Golf Race 2023
Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 and in Scotland (SC039332))
There's something for everyone in The Big Golf Race. Choose from the Half Marathon (2 rounds, 36 holes, 13 miles in a day), the Marathon (4 rounds, 72 holes, 26 miles in a day) or even the Ultra Marathon (5.5 rounds, 100 holes, 35 miles in a day).

Story

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. Thats thousands of dads, brothers, partners, grandads, mates, sons and uncles. But it doesnt have to be this way.

Mark Love, Scott Wilson, Scott Sigsworth, Rhys Dowie, Jack Barnes, Jake Cunningham and Rab Marshall all played 72 holes in one day to help raise money and awareness of prostate cancer to keep men in the game for longer.

This involved almost 60000 steps or 25 miles and left us all pretty much broken as you can see in the group picture.

A huge thank you to all at Castle Park Golf Course for supporting this event. Please visit this fantastic course if you haven't already done so. You'll definitely be made very welcome.

Your donations which smashed our target will help fund lifesaving research to find better tests to diagnose men sooner. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. We're all blown away by your generosity.
