Story

I have decided to challenge myself to run 10km on my birthday in September. This is going to be such a great experience as I have never ran that long before.

I have always wanted to give back something to the charities that have helped me through some of my hardest days the support I received was life changing. And they have made a big difference to so many vulnerable individuals so my chosen charities are Savana and Mind.

Over the lockdown period there has been a huge rise in the number of people who have fallen victim to domestic violence and Savana have had nearly 700 new requests for their free counciling services. This is such a great charity which helps people in their darkest days by providing a free counciling service to victims from the age 4+. They provide a safe environment to help people over come domestic violence and all types of abuse they have suffered.

I have also chosen Mind as my 2nd charity as mental health plays a big part in our lives. So many people suffer from mental health issues and are not getting the help and support they need. I have battled with my mental health for many years and I understand the importance of getting the right help when you need it most, it can make such a difference to your life.

Over the lockdown period I have started more and more exersice and the difference it has made to my mental heath is astonishing. So I am wanting to push myself to achieve my goal of running 10km on the 6th Setpember.

Due to the current financial difficulties individuals are in please not not feel like you have to donate, however if you are able to support me in my journey could I kindly ask that donations are split between the 2 charities if possible. Thank you I would really appreciate it 😁
