🌟 UPDATE 2 🌟
Thank you everyone for your generous donations and kind words. The feet have just about recovered minus several toenails...RIP. I am still struggling to put the MDS into words though it was without doubt the toughest challenge I have ever undertaken. It has definitely changed my perspective on 'normal life'. It meant a huge amount to me to know that many of you were following my progress via the GPS tracker and passing on messages of support via my family. Thank you again for supporting these very worthy causes. Until next time...
Ben

Sunday 14th April marks the culmination of six months’ training whereby I embark on my biggest challenge to date, the Marathon des Sables, known as the toughest foot race on earth. Carrying everything I need to survive for 6 days in temperatures up to 50 Celsius, I will be covering over 250km across one of the world’s most inhospitable environments, the Sahara Desert.
The ability to undertake a challenge of this magnitude is a privilege I am lucky enough to be afforded. To make it worthwhile I have chosen to support those who have no choice in their challenge. I am shining a light on a handful of small charities who work to support people in times of need.
If you would like and are able to, please donate to the charity of your choice. Your support will mean a great deal to them and help drive me forward through the inevitable dark moments. Thank you!
- Sasha’s Project provides an overnight crisis drop-in centre for young people aged 13-25, who may be feeling distressed, unsafe or suicidal.
