Story
Our team is made up of 2 GPs, a Sexual Health Consultant and a Music Industry Lawyer who met at university and have long believed in medical research to advance care and improve the lives and wellbeing of others.
We also believe that maintaining physical fitness is essential to achieve good physical and mental health, and love exploring the wild outdoors, especially the mountains, sun and sea! Being (a bit) older, with children and busy lives we may have let our fitness slip and so needed a challenge to get us back on form, with one of us having a sinus op coming up and a scattering of past injuries amongst us this will be a challenge, but one we look forward too :)
So what better way to raise funds for a charity that we whole heartedly believe in than getting on a bike, climbing a very big hill and finishing off floating away in a canoe... let's just hope we have enough energy left to get back on dry land... and see the progress of the numerous research projects that Action Medical enables to happen.
Thank you for your support,
Lisa, Kat, Katy and Lucy XXXX
p.s. aka... an extremely tough dawn to dusk event where they will cycle 22 miles off-road route with 2500ft of ascent around Coniston's challenging terrain, navigate a 2-mile course on Coniston Water, and finally summit the Old Man Of Coniston, one of the Lake District's most iconic peaks with an altitude of 803m, on a 7 mile round trip to raise money for this incredible cause.
