Story

BD have been specialising in the design and manufacture of insulin needles and syringes for over 90 years. Marking 50 years of diabetes care and manufacturing in Ireland BD are proudly supporting a remarkable challenge to raise funds for Diabetes Ireland. Held in the 100th year of Insulin, our cycle team will attempt to ride 570 kilometres across Ireland, from end to end, in just 24 hours.

    About the charity

    Since 1967, Diabetes Ireland is the national charity dedicated to helping people with diabetes. It achieves this by providing support, education and motivation to all people affected by diabetes. Diabetes Ireland also raises public awareness of diabetes and its symptoms and funds research into finding a cure for diabetes.
