100km. Teams of 4. 30 Hours. 500 teams will trek across the South Downs Way in September 2019, raising money for Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust.

Story

The Challenge

Trailwalker is the ultimate team endurance event. The challenge is to walk, jog or run 100km non-stop across the South Downs Way in under 30 hours in a team of four. The South Downs Way is hilly, along the route we'll be climbing the equivalent of Ben Nevis and Snowdon combined.

The History

Exercise TRAILWALKER started out as a military training exercise in Hong Kong in 1981. Organised by the Queen’s Gurkha Signals, and taking place along the famous Maclehose Trail, the exercise sought to test the endurance and teamwork of soldiers of the Queen’s Gurkha Signals over a long and arduous course.

The Team

Craig, Barney, Harry and Andy are 4 friends from the Chichester area who's recent sporting achievements can be comfortably written on the back of a postage stamp. It's safe to say this challenge will take the team a long way out of their comfort zone however they're looking forward to getting stuck in and raising as much money as possible for two hugely worthy causes.
