Story
As some of you may know, ‘strokes’ are a subject that have shockingly become very close to my heart over the last few months. So, when my totally awesome friend Jo suggested a sponsored walk to support this incredible cause I jumped on it and so did the ‘always up for it’ Kate and Gemma. We imagined a small meander on the prom, wearing flip-flops and sun cream with ice-cream in hand! Turns out, that’s not quite what Jo had in mind!
So, here we are. Training up for the Jurassic Coast Ultra challenge covering 100km on foot. Stomping in walking boots, covered in Vaseline and munching on energy gels (with some very weird looking walking poles which to be honest, we still have yet to master!). We have for 2 days to complete it along the beautiful Jurassic coast and really (no really!), we can’t wait!
We would be incredibly grateful if you could find any pennies or pounds to support our team of 4 on our journey. I think we are going to need all the help we can get (and quite possibly several thousand plasters and a fair bit of gin to get us though!) In doing so, you will be helping to fund very valuable research undertaken by The Stroke Association and to offer much needed support to people affected by this horrible event. Someone has a stroke every 5 minutes in the UK and many people haven’t been as lucky as we have been. Eternally grateful for all the emotional support you have already personally shown my family (it’s been beyond humbling) and now we’re after your money! 😂
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts x
