Raising money for Help for Heroes, Naomi House Children’s Hospice (Wessex Children's Hospice Trust) and AGC Association

Story

The Army Training Regiment Winchester is sending a 10 person team, to undertake the 2025 Tough Mudder Challenge in a bold mission to raise £1000 for Naomi House, £1000 for Help For Heroes and £1000 for the AGC Association.

On the 16th of August 2025, the team will undergo a gruelling 5-8km run through deep mud and tackle 12+ Obstacles that will push them to their limits, including the Mud Mile, Kiss of Mud, Artic Enema, Cry Baby, Everest, Mudderhorn, Electro Shock Therapy and many more.

When a child or young adult is diagnosed with a life limiting condition, Naomi House & Jacksplace becomes their home from home. Delivering the crucial emotional, spiritual, developmental, clinical and holistic care that children and young adults with some of the most complex medical needs require. They offer vital respite support, giving families the chance to recharge their batteries. In times of emergency, giving families the help they need through difficult times. And at the end of a child or young adult's life, they pull out all the stops to give them a peaceful and dignified end, surrounded by loved ones.

That's why they provide veterans with carefully tailored and holistic support for their physical and mental health, along with their welfare and social needs. They’re here for anyone who’s served in our military. No matter where or when they served, or how long for. Whether they served in a conflict or not.

https://www.agcassociation.co.uk/ Recognises the challenges and stress that come hand in hand with military life and are committed to ensuring that our soldiers and their families receive care and support 24/7. In time of need, hardship or distress they provide a Benevolent Grant for serving and retired personnel, Reservists and their eligible dependants. Financial assistance may be given for help with the costs of: Disability adaptation in the home, mobility equipment, help with priority debts, food vouchers, clothing and household necessities, medical travel and accommodation grants to support families travelling long distance for specialist care and unforeseen travel costs following a family bereavement.

As well as assisting all the other cap badges in the AGC, the Association has assisted the families of 5 fellow MPGS Soldiers who passed away this year.
