Story

Help me make a New Years Resolution to help dreams come true for two children with life-threatening illnesses who want to go to Florida with their families. On New Years Day join A Wish Come True for our 21st year of hosting the Polar Plunge at 1st Beach in Newport. With over 5000 people coming to the beach, we are the largest Plunge in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Donate now using the Give Now Button on this page! The minimum registration to plunge is $25. Each team will get 10 t-shirts for every $1000 they raise!

This year's Polar Plunge is presented by LiUNA - RI Laborers' District Council. Proceeds from the 2025 Plunge will directly make dreams come true for Wish children's trips to Florida! Additional proceeds will support resources to our Wish Families.

A Wish Come True is the oldest wish granting organization in RI, Southeastern MA and Eastern CT. We grant wishes and provide resources to families with a child with a life-threatening illness. We have helped over 1750 children receive a Wish over 40 years, which is an estimated value of $8.5m.
