Story
The Anne Rowling Clinic is part of the University of Edinburgh's College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. It delivers clinical care and research to improve the lives of people with degenerative conditions affecting the brain.
"Our aim here at the Anne Rowling Clinic is to bring new treatments to diseases such as MS, MND, Parkinson’s and Dementias. Our team of researchers, doctors and nurses are committed to working on these trials and studies that one day will improved people’s lives. Every penny raised will go to help the Clinic. This team will run because we can – we are doing it for those affected by these conditions and to raise awareness of our important work." Judy Newton , Anne Rowling Clinic Deputy Director, Clinic & Nurse Manager
"We feel so privileged to be part of the important work carried out in and around the Clinic, work which would not be possible without the contribution from patient and research participants giving up their time and sharing their stories with us. We wish to give something back by raising awareness and funding to understand more about diseases like MS, MND, Parkinson’s and early onset dementia." Hanne Haagenrud, senior research nurse and the very lucky team captain of the relay dream team!
The Anne Rowling Clinic was founded by author J.K. Rowling and has charitable status through the University of Edinburgh Development Trust.
