Charlotte & Darren ( Archie's Parents), Ryan ( Archie's big brother), will be joined by family & close friends Claire, Avril, Krystal, Ellie, Sian, Charlie, Sarah, Safia & Paul to take on the National autistic society’s spectrum night walk around London.
In 2019 Archie’s army took part in the night walk dressed in neon tutus and walked 10 kilometres and came 3rd highest fundraisers in the country!!!
This time we are walking 15 kilometres dressed even brighter than before and hope to raise just as much or even more!
We are taking part in the charity event in aid of raising awareness about Autism for our true little superhero Archie. We will also be raising money for a charity that's very close to us all “The National Autistic Society”.
The National Autistic Society research and provides support to people with Autism as well as their parents, family and friends.
For those of you who don’t know our little superhero here's a little bit about him.
Archie is seven years old and was born visually impaired. Archie has many complex medical needs including Autism and Sensory processing difficulties.
Autism presents Archie with many challenging factors on a daily basis, things we all take for granted but Archie never lets this get in his way and every day shows us what a true little superhero he is.
Autism is a permanent condition and a life long disability which will always face Archie with difficulties but with the support of charities such as The National Autistic Society and people sharing awareness this will help Archie and other people with Autism to live life to the full and in a society that works for them without exclusion.
During the pandemic, many autistic adults, children, and their families have felt as if they have been left stranded, as many have struggled to get the support they need, and anxiety levels reached a new high. Due to the pandemic and the lock down, the National Autistic society have not been able to hold their usual events which financially supports the charity being able to support and provide a service to those who are in need.
Please support this worthy cause any donations big or small will be very much appreciated and by donating you will be helping to give hope for people just like our little superhero.
Thank you,
Archie’s Army xxxxxx
