Story

On October 13th, 2024, we will be participating in the Oxford Half Marathon 2024 to raise funds for SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents), an incredible charity that has been supporting families with premature and sick babies at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for over 40 years.

SSNAP provides vital emotional and practical support to parents, as well as funding life-saving medical equipment, groundbreaking research, and training for the NHS staff on the neonatal unit. Their work is truly life-changing, offering a lifeline to families during their most difficult moments.

We would love your support in reaching our fundraising goal. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help SSNAP continue their amazing work and make a real difference to the lives of newborns and their families.

Please consider donating to our cause – together, we can help SSNAP continue providing the very best care when it’s needed most. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!

In the UK, 1 in 10 babies need specialist care at birth. SSNAP supports sick & premature babies and their families in the Newborn Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Imagine your newborn baby needing specialist care at birth. Instead of those very special days getting to know your baby as a family, you’re catapulted into an unfamiliar world of incubators, wires, medical tests and interventions. While your baby has specialist treatment, we provide emotional and practical support to help you through the trauma & upheaval. We’re there to help families cope, and provide state-of-the-art medical equipment and nursing expertise that could save babies lives.
