Raising money for Newcastle Hospitals Charity

The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation was launched by Sir Bobby to help find more effective ways to detect and treat cancer. Working within the NHS, we fund cutting-edge cancer treatment and innovative cancer services.

Story

On 25th July 2023 we sadly lost ou beautiful Angela who was a loving wife, mam, sister, daughter, a friend and grandma to be 💙 (she would have made a brilliant grandma).

Angie was a fun, outgoing person who was always the light in a dark room and always planning her next fundraising party.

She had a pain in her shoulder for a few months before eventually getting a scan which detected liver cancer which turned out to be the primary. 2 weeks later we as a family was told that it was stage 4 and terminal and we could expect up to a year without treatment and 18 months with treatment. However in the days to come she deterated and became ill. She spent 2 weeks in hospital until she got her wish & we brought her home on the 25th of July but, sadly she lost her short battle with cancer (7 wks) later that day surrounded by her family 💔.

We decided the sir bobby robson foundation as Ange loved newcastle united also as they're a local cancer charity who supports people with cancer and their families everyday

So we are Angies Army's and we were going to take part in the colour rush on the 8th of June at gosforth racecourse in her memory but unfortunately this has now been cancelled. We are now going to be walking from the RVI Hospital in Newcastle to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation at the Freeman Hospital.
