Story

Thank you for visiting our page - team Anderson

We are supporting Sarcoma UK, choosing to complete the Step into Spring challenge, doing 100 miles in 30 days.

Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. It account for 1% of all cancer.

Sadly as a family we are now all too aware of the impact of this cancer. In January 2024 Darren, my husband and father of our four children was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma located near to his spine. He is currently waiting surgery for removal and then a lengthy course of proton B radiotherapy.

SARCOMA UK have been a massive support as have all the specialist sarcoma teams we have met along the way. We have had many conversations about giving back and this opportunity feels appropriate whilst we continue our own emotional journey.

Thank you for your support.
