Runners from around the community are taking to the streets of Hackney to run the Hackney Half Marathon and raise money for life-changing mental health services!

Story

I am making a super team of athletes including; players and fans from CCFC, teaching staff from William Patten Primary school and some rogue fell runners from Wales to take on the challenge of running Hackney Half marathon. To motivate us to give it our all, We've decided to simultaneously raise awareness (and money) for local mental health charity, Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest.

In any given year, mental health problems will affect one in four people in the UK, responsible for the largest burden of disease in the country affecting 28% of the population.

Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest offer a range of support and services to members of the community who are struggling daily with their mental health.

We are very grateful for any donations!

About the charity

We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. We challenge discrimination and provide local expert services so no one has to face a mental health problem alone. Help us shape the future of mental health.
