Story
On the auspicious occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s birthday, #GurdwaraForSurrey by the Camberley Sikh Association is hosting the annual Akhand Paath Sahib from Friday 6th January to Sunday 8th January 2023.
This year this Akhand Paath Sahib occasion is even more special and exciting because we will be asking all the sangat to join in on The Great Akhand Paath Cyclothon to raise money for Gurdwara for Surrey.
150 riders will cycle in 20-minute stints on a static bike, day and night for 48 hours - synchronised to start and finish with the cover-to-cover reading of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
This is for the whole community and we want YOU involved! Whether you’re a cycling fanatic or if never saddled up before, this is some light-hearted fundraising fun whilst you get fit in the ambience of Guru Ji.
If raising money for this awesome mission wasn’t incentive enough, the top fundraiser wins a mystery prize!
And if you’re feeling brave you can book yourself in for multiple 20 min slots. All age groups and ability levels welcome. Although there is no strict age restriction, height restrictions might apply for smaller children.
So, are you going to be a night rider or day rider? Sign up here to book your slots asap!
