Story
It is with a heavy heart that the Access Bookings family announce the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved co-founder Ian Taylor-Brett.
Ian died peacefully on Friday 29th September at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield with Patricia and his two daughters, Julia and Camilla, by his side.
Ian was highly respected for his decades of industry knowledge. He was a truly charismatic man, who wasn't only our manager but also our friend. It will therefore come as no surprise that the grief we feel at Access Bookings is profound.
At the request of Ian's family, Access Bookings is looking to raise money to benefit 4 charities in his memory, these include the British Heart Foundation, The UK Sepsis Trust, Good Hope Hospital Charity and Guide Dogs.
In order to donate, you can choose a charity from the list below based on your personal preferences:
- Access Bookings fundraiser for the British Heart Foundation: Ian sadly passed away following a heart attack which occurred on Wednesday 27th September and we would like to raise funds to support the British Heart Foundation and the amazing work they do.
- Access Bookings fundraiser for the Good Hope Hospital Charity: The amazing team in Good Hope’s ITU cared for Ian during his short time in the hospital. From admission through to Ian’s sad passing, the family were comforted by the dedicated team providing the very best care possible.
- Access Bookings fundraiser for The UK Sepsis Trust: Dr Ron Daniels led the team providing Ian's care. Dr Daniels went above and beyond his call of duty, staying to update family members when they arrived from overseas. Dr Daniels is the CEO and founder of the UK Sepsis Trust. Whilst entirely unrelated in this case, the family wish to support the charity in Ian’s name, with gratitude for the care received directly from Dr Daniels.
- Access Bookings fundraiser for Guide Dogs: Simply, Ian’s favourite charity. Ian always had a calendar from the Guide Dogs charity and would turn each month and gleefully announce the name of the dog for that month to Patricia and those around him in the office, before passing the calendar round for all to see.
Ian, you will be fiercely missed, and never forgotten. Your legacy will continue through us all.
