Story
Assalaamu alaikum wa rehamatullahi wa barakatuhu.
Dear Brothers and Sisters. Inna lillahi wa inna elayhi rajioon. As some of you may be aware, our beloved father; Mohammed Abdul Noor, passed away on the 14th February 2021, after losing his battle with Covid-19.
My father was truly a great person. A loving husband first, an exemplary father; who taught us how to love and be loved and, most of all, a selfless individual who would walk the last mile for anyone through the good times and bad.
Anyone who has suffered a loss knows how difficult and painful this time can be. Not being able to stay close to your loved one; during what may be the hardest time of their life, has left us all with much sadness and grief. This is the unfortunate reality of Covid 19. We are separated from those we hold dear until they return home to us or return to our Lord.
There are no words that can fully describe what a father means, and the impact that they have on a person's life. For some, fathers are heroes who provide and protect. Others look to father-figures as the hands that guided them through life, and while it's hard to measure his influence, it's even more difficult to articulate what it's like to lose it.
The grief of losing a father very hard it seems nearly impossible to recover from. Our father was all of the above, and more, which is why his absence is felt immensely. His life has been an example to us all, teaching us how to be kind, loving, respectful and generous.
We sincerely pray that Allah (SWT) is pleased with our father’s good deeds and raises his status to the highest rank in Jannat-ul-Firdous – Ameen.
Our father had a dream, to build a Masjid (mosque). He was passionate about creating a space where people could worship and learn about Islam comfortably.
Due to the passing of our father, the honour of fulfilling his vision and creating a legacy for him falls onto our shoulders and we have taken on this project with much happiness and drive. We have ascertained that the cost of the project is around £3000 so we would like to give the opportunity to all his extended family, close friends and all the people whose lives he touched with his selflessness.
We humbly ask that you all become involved and help build this masjid on behalf of our father. Building a masjid is a wonderful act of Sadaqah Jariyah; charity that continues to benefit people in the long-term and earns them rewards even after death. The reward for building a masjid is continuous, and as long as people are benefiting from the masjid you have helped build then you will continue to receive rewards from Allah (SWT).
So, we are calling to all our brothers and sisters and ask that they contribute and help in the building of this Masjid from the generosity of their souls, whether it be small or great.
May Allah ( SWT) grant success and an eternal reward to everyone who helps to facilitate this project - Ameen.
JazakAllahu Khairun
