The family and loved ones of Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, have been overwhelmed by the public support and the number of kind messages, flowers and tributes left in his memory, in the wake of his untimely death.

As his funeral approaches, those closest to him kindly request that in lieu of flowers and other tributes, monetary donations are made to several key charities which Sir David passionately and wholeheartedly supported.

Sir David supported many charities and those linked below were particularly close to his heart. It would be the family wish to ensure that all charities benefit equally and they would be grateful if this could be considered in choosing which charity to make a donation to.
