Top link is for NASS, bottom link for RAF BF
I am trying to raise money for the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society (NASS) and the RAF Benevolent fund.
Both charities are close to my heart, I developed AS after colliding with a goal keeper (fracturing L4) while playing football with the air training corps. This meant that I was unable to achieve my boyhood dream of joining the RAF.
I grew up wanting to join the RAF, my great grandad had served from 1929 to 1951 and one of my grandads cousins was a Lancaster pilot with 405 (Vancouver) Sqn RCAF (he was RAF). This is the inspiration for the challenge, to cycle to all RAF pathfinder airfields.
Due to damage caused by AS I have had both hips replaced so this approximately 100 mile cycle will be a test!
I would like to thank
Cris Kellet my long term physio for keeping me moving (https://www.criskellett.com/)
David Harris @ BikeNV for looking after my bikes (https://www.bikenv.online/)
Prof. C Speed for diagnosing me and support throughout the years.
Mr. A Bajwa Surgeon extraordinaire for my new hips!
