Giving Back to the Heroes !!
Thanks for stopping by. We are the North East London, Lead Employer - Mass Vaccination Team. We have worked hard during the pandemic in keeping North East London community safe by vaccinating them against COVID-19. Our journey and efforts were supported by volunteers from St.John Ambulance and Royal Voluntary Services and together we have played a major role in keeping our communities safe and aiding transition to living without restrictions and lock downs we faced in the past 2 years. During these critical times of living wage crisis and in anticipation of increased demand for volunteers we have commenced this fundraiser to provide support for those two key charities to recruit and train more volunteers.
St. John Ambulance and the Royal Voluntary Service are a vital community resource, whose volunteers helped us to vaccinate North East London community where we delivered more than 3,700,000 vaccines to date. Over 6000 volunteers participated in the pandemic vaccination drive throughout North East London and still continue to do so. The first person local people met when arriving for their COVID vaccination was probably a volunteer!
Their contributions in keeping our community and London region safe are momentous and its time that we give back to these incredible organisations, who continue to support us. The money raised through the fundraising can make a difference to these charities as below:
For St John Ambulance:
£10 could kit out volunteers with the correct equipment to treat sick or injured people.
£20 could help train new volunteers to continue our lifesaving work.
£25 could help a young person save the life of a loved one.
£40 could provide more ambulance and first aid crews across the country.
£50 could help them urgently train or upskill a volunteer.
£100 could help them continue to respond quickly to emergencies.
£250+ will support the future of St John Ambulance’s work through COVID-19 and beyond.
Royal Voluntary Service:
£10 could help a vulnerable person safely attend a vital medical appointment through our patient transport service.
£30 could help support someone returning from hospital alone with ongoing visits, food shopping and prescription collections.
£70 could cover the cost of recruiting, training, and placing a volunteer in an NHS hospital or local community. This will help us to be there for more vulnerable people when it matters most.
