Story
In a moment of madness we thought it would be a good idea to do a banger race to raise money for a couple of charities dear to our hearts! Last year we walked 100km in 2 days on the Thames Path Challenge so decided something seated was more appropriate as we both still have black toenails!!
Welcome to the family Daisy a 20 year old ex London taxi that we will endeavour to cross 12 countries in 7 days this September.
As you know our world was rocked in February 2021 with the news that my cancer had returned and spread to my liver, lungs, spine and ribs. This is known as stage 4, incurable or secondary breast cancer. The outlook isn't fantastic but while I am ‘fit’ & ‘stable’ we want to raise as much money as we can for 2 charities who have been invaluable in their help & support.
Force Cancer Charity are located right next to the hospital and provide face to face support for me (& Mark if he needs). From friendly faces, support groups, counselling, physio referrals, mindfulness and a simple cup of tea. They help make the many, many appointments at the hospital much more bearable.

Make 2nds Count originated in Scotland but provide me with online support through the FB group and Zoom tea & chats. They helped me realise that although I am life limited there is a group of ladies who ‘just get it’. We support each other through the highs and lows of the ongoing treatments. They not only limit themselves to support though. They are funding much needed research and trials nurses to support us through the maze of questions we pose.
