Story
Every year, 4624 Squadron phase two training personnel, raise funds for a military charity. This year, we have decided to support SSFA, the Armed Forces charity.
SSAFA – the Armed Forces charity, the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association, is a UK charity that provides lifelong support to serving men and women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents.
However, due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, we thought it would be appropriate to also support and raise funds for a local NHS charity - the Oxford Hospitals Charity. One of the benefactors of the Oxford Hospital Charity, is the John Radcliffe Hospital based in Headington, Oxford.
We would like to personally thank, all the medical and nursing staff, working on the Intensive Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The ICU provided 24 hour care and support for an SNCO from 4624 SQN, who had contracted the corona virus, and had to be ventilated for several months. Fortunately, he is now out of hospital and is making a steady recovery.
Oxford Hospitals Charity helps to transform care - funding the best medical equipment, research, training and facilities for our patients and staff.
