Child Action Northwest has been in existence for over 130 years, founded as Blackburn Orphanage in 1891! We have supported and changed the lives of children through two world wars, and more recently a global pandemic. Our head office is no longer used as an orphanage, however many of the issues that caused children to be placed there, sadly still exist today. This is why we continue to evolve to meet the needs of the children, young people, families and communities across the North West.

We are extremely proud of our services, designed to support disadvantaged children and young people, we passionately believe that every child has the right to achieve their full potential whatever their full potential whatever their background or circumstances.
