Story
Thank you for coming to my 7.1 million Keepie Uppie Challenge for Covid Heroes page.
AMAZING - Thank you for being so generous. You have helped me smash my JustGiving target, so I hope you don't mind but I have raised it to £7100. Please help me continue to raise money for 9 wonderful key worker charities.
My name is Imogen and I am 10 years old. I was so inspired to see Captain Tom raising money for the NHS that I wanted to help too.
Because I love football I’ve decided to do one keepie uppie for every key worker not just in the NHS but the care workers, the train drivers, the police, the fire brigade, the bus drivers, the armed forces, the teachers, the supermarket workers, the post men and women, the bin men and women, and all the other keyworkers trying to keep us safe, while risking their lives and helping us to stay at home.
I didn’t know how many keyworkers there were, and my mum and dad checked. There are 7.1 million!
I am going to do at least 200 keepie uppies each day until I reach the total, but I will need some help.
I have listed 9 keyworker charities on my page, some of them are personally important to me and I hope you could donate a little money to one or more of them.
And if you donate some money, then please donate some keepie uppies too. Send me a picture or a video of how many you’ve done and I will put your score against the 7.1 million total.
I will post any keepie uppie pictures or videos you send me on my Twitter, Facebook or YouTube account. And don’t worry if you don’t have a football, use anything that can bounce on your foot. A toilet roll, balloon, socks, a soft toy, anything you want will do.
I hope you can help.
Love Imogen x
