Story
Around the world in 79 days
We are going 'Around the World in 79 Days' as a team to contribute our miles covered to a team target of travelling (virtually) around the world whilst connecting with countries who are worse affected than the UK by the coronavirus - in aid of Unicef (UK) - one day at a time, one step at a time, one vaccine at a time.
To do our part, 79Days has aligned with Unicef’s International Covid-response to prioritise the protection of health workers and the most vulnerable people across the globe. By supporting Unicef in this way, we will contribute to their goal of delivering 2 billion Covid-19 vaccines, 500 million tests and treatment – thus helping to open the door to a brighter future for the world.
From buying and transporting supplies through to administering the vaccine, our efforts will help to deliver history. Our fundraising will help to ensure that:
- vaccines get to even the most remote places in the world.
- vaccines are safely stored using cold chain equipment.
- health workers are protected and trained to vaccinate their communities.
£31 = could provide a full kit to protect a health worker, including boots, gloves, masks and coveralls. £45 = could provide cold chain equipment to safely store 500 doses of vaccines. £63 = could transport 4205 doses of vaccines.
Your donation is greatly appreciated.
