Raising money for Strathcarron Hospice and Scottish Action for Mental Health

Story

Hi folks, It‘s me again on the fundraising wagon. Its been nearly 4 years since the last marathon in Berlin 2019 and thought I needed a new challenge.

I am going to run 5K every day in 2024 (didn‘trealise that it was a leap year 🤣) and raise some funds for Strathcarron Hospice and SAMH. My connection to Strathcarron is a long one due to my Auntie April working there for as long as i can remember and fundraising for them in the past. They do amazing work. SAMH is new one for me but I am honoured to fundraise for them.

My target is £436 (£218) for each charity. I recognise thst this is a fairly low target but every little helps (Sorry Tesco). The reasons for this are: 1) I know how difficult times are; and 2) it would take us (Robert Mutter - who said he‘s too old for this challenge) to £7000 raised since my journey began at the London Marathon in 2016.

You will have a choice as to which charity you donate to but I would really appreciate if we could try and split evenly towards them : )

I am fully aware that it‘s December and this is a huge commitment. I’ve never given up on anything and the more donations will only strengthen my determination. Lauren has already donated and said that I never fail when i have something in my head so please follow her lead.

I will keep you all updated on my progress.

Love always, Jason.
