Story
Hooray , we completed the challenge in 8.5hrs, coming 4th of 62 teams and fastest on the cycle section :-). We also managed to scoop the fastest ladies team and the Golden Oldies trophy for being the fastest 200+ years combined (11 teams!) We started out on the cycle section at 06.15am and finished the whole event at 14.38, well before dusk. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the amazing supporters on the route and at the event hub - thanks Action Medical for running such a slick event.
A HUGE thank you for your support.
Four of us, Helen, Claire, Kate & Tina, completed 40 miles bike ride around the imposing Skiddaw mountain , canoed 2.5 mile course on Derwent Water and finally summitted Skiddaw on an 11 mile round trip to an altitude of 931m to raise money for this incredible cause.
