Story

in late December 2023 my good friend Jake approached me and asked if i would take part in the national three peak challenge with him and some other good friends.

I have to say my first reaction was "what? why ?"

He simply said "its for Alder Hey"

To explain......

After the incredible help he and his family had received from the real life super hero's at Alder Hey children's hospital in Liverpool, he was keen to give something back. His daughter was sadly born with a serious kidney condition that caused her to have continual UTI's. Alder Hey performed an operation to remove part of her kidney and it was a success. In his words - " Alder Hey where with us every step of the way!"

Jake knew that my niece had also been through a terrible time having her first complex brain surgery at just 6 months old at Alder Hey, so of course I was keen to help.
