Story

Waterloo Uncovered combines world-class archaeology with a programme of care and recovery for veterans and serving military personnel suffering from some of the physical and mental impacts of their service. Since 2015 the charity has been excavating on the site of one of the world's most decisive battles and supported over 100 beneficiaries.

The 2e Regiment d'Infanterie Legere are a UK reenactment group that portrays French soldiers of the Napoleonic Wars. Waterloo has captured the our imagination for many years and it is a pleasure to commemorate it in aid of such a worthy cause. The historical 2e Legere fought in the Battle of Waterloo and so we are doing this as a tribute to those who fought on both sides.
