Stacey’s Big Challenge: Climbing Mountains for Memories and Homes

Hi, I’m Stacey. On June 8th, I’m setting out on a big adventure. I’ll climb the UK’s three tallest mountains - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, all within 24 hours. This is known as the Three Peaks Challenge. But there’s a special reason I’m doing this. I want to help two important causes: people with Alzheimer's and people who need homes.

Helping with Memories:

First, I’ve spent a lot of my time working with older people who have Alzheimer's. It’s tough for them and their families. I’ve seen how hard it can be. That’s why I want to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. They do great work helping these people and their families, and they’re trying to find a way to make Alzheimer's less scary in the future.

Helping Find Homes:

I also learned how many people don’t have homes in my travels. Seeing people without a place to live made me very sad. Everyone should have a home where they feel safe. That’s why I’m also walking for Shelter. Shelter helps people who don’t have anywhere to live find a place they can call home. They do amazing work making sure people have a safe place to stay.

Why I’m Climbing:

I’m climbing these mountains to help both these causes. The Three Peaks Challenge is tough, but thinking about the people I’m helping will keep me going. I want to do my part to make the world a better place - where people can remember the love of their families and everyone has a home.
