Story
This May, the Cycling4soup crew are bringing together their team to support TRIBE Freedom Foundation and offer you the opportunity to test your endurance limits on a 24-hour ride from London to the Lakes.
How? We’re inviting you to join us on a 24-hour cycling challenge that will set off from Central London [meeting place TBC] with the goal of reaching Scafell Pike (the highest point of Lake District) within 24 hours. With a total of 530 km of paved roads and 5,413 m elevation gain the route will include a diverse range of scenic fields and roads that will test the most skilled rider.
As part of this challenge, we will be raising funds for TRIBE Freedom Foundation to help prevent modern slavery and provide long-term support for survivors.
Why are we doing this? Because we love the sport, because we love to be outside and because we know that we can help others by raising awareness of modern slavery with our actions and through sport. By joining this challenge you’ll be fully donating to TRIBE Freedom Foundation and their work to fight modern slavery.
There are two easy ways to sign up:
1. Donate £40 (here: JustGiving.com/fundraising/tribexcycling4soup1) to join us for this epic challenge and receive 6x TRIBE nutrition products!
2. Fundraise your entry cost (£40) by setting up your own fundraising page (here: justgiving.com/team/24hrideteam).
When you reach £40 you have raised enough to join the ride.
If you fundraise £80 you will receive TRIBE cycling cap, when you reach £120 you’ll receive TRIBE Cycling Jersey !!
Distance: 530 km
Elevation: 5,413 m
Details: We will ride as a team to push each others limits and fight modern slavery. The ride will be self-supported, although volunteer crew are welcome!
This is a social charity ride not a race! All riders take part in the challenge at their own risk. We will ride as a team and look out for the whole tribe. We go further and faster, together.
Established by the TRIBE community, our mission is to fight modern slavery and end human trafficking. We work by raising awareness of trafficking and supporting frontline projects to fight modern slavery. We empower the TRIBE community to create an impact. In 2019, we will be supporting Ella's Home and The Snowdrop Project. Two genuinely exceptional projects providing the highest quality long-term support for survivors exiting situations of trafficking and exploitation.Find out more and be inspired at www.tribefreedomfoundation.com
