Story
I'm running 10k for two charities close to my heart, and here's why...
At the beginning of 2020 I realised I had been putting off doing this run, due to various personal reasons 2019 didn't quite go to plan and I felt I let the year pass me by, I kept saying I'd finally train to run a 10k for charity....and it never happened.
So at the beginning of this year I decided that was enough, I had to get on and do it. Since January this year I've been running 3 times most weeks to increase my stamina and distance so I can manage 10k - something I always said I could never do having spent most of my life running no further than to catch a bus!
I've selected two charities that mean a lot to me, and so you will see two separate fundraising pages for you to choose to donate to. I would love to raise £100 for each charity so please consider splitting your donation amount between them.
I'm supporting the King's College Hospital TLC Appeal in honour of my youngest niece Charlotte who suffers from a form of Childhood Liver Disease.
I'm supporting YoungMinds as I strongly believe that in our fast-paced world, the Mental Health of future generations needs to be prioritised.
*CORONAVIRUS UPDATE* Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, the Lymington RNLI 10k has been cancelled this year. I therefore will run this 10k distance alone following my own route. My own health permitting, I will then also sign up to do the New Forest Marathon 10k in September if it goes ahead.
Thank you in advance for your support, now more than ever these charities need our help.
