UKIM, a British charity established since 1962, is proud to stand behind our Brand Ambassador, Akke Rahman, as he embarks on a monumental challenge: conquering all 14 ‘Eight-Thousanders’ – the world's mountains exceeding a staggering 8,000 meters!

Whilst at the same time raising awareness and money for causes in Bangladesh and further afield.

The expedition will begin in April 2024.

In Bangladesh, UKIM spent over £1.5 million since 2014

for supporting vulnerable people affected by floods, Rohingya refugees, water and sanitation, construction of community centres, education and orphan children, Hifz programme and disabled people.

This year UKIM implemented the following projects:

Supported over 600 flood affected families, received dry food packages in Cox’s Bazar and Kurigram areas.

Installed more than 600 hand pumps since 2014.

Constructed over 25 community centres.

Distributed Ramadan food packs in Shirajgonj district of Bangladesh and for Rohingya refuees.

Qurbani organised every year.

Supported over 1000 orphan children and initiated Hifz project.
