We did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

It took 8 hours and was ducking tough and a long long slog was worth it.  We are both over the moon and look forward to recovering the use of our legs at some point soon.  We were part of a group all supporting Kidney Research who did a fantastic job of organising this event and looking after us. 

The highlight was probably right at the start when Katie suggested to one of our guides, who thought he was young and handsom, that he was the double of Dale Winton and then tried to dig her way out by going on far too long about how much she loved Supermarketsweep!  Priceless.

At 4406ft or 1344m, Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the country.  We have been training hard and hope that we can make the climb in approx 5 hours and a further 2 hour descent. 

Right now, the lives of over three million people in the UK are threatened by chronic kidney disease.  Any money we raise will be used to help fund life saving research by the Charity.
