Story
The devastating floods in Pakistan have left over 33 million people without homes, belongings and livelihoods. One-third of the country is currently underwater - To put that in perspective, that is equal to around half the UK population displaced, and an area equal to the entire United Kingdom underwater!
This is perhaps one of the worst crisis that Pakistan has faced. The rains have not ceased, and the impact of the floods is expected to grow in terms of its geographic spread as well as the intensity of misery it inflicts. Pakistan is also home to the most glaciers in the world outside of the Arctic and Antarctic, and the impact of global warming is causing them to melt faster, causing more flood damage.
TCF has launched a Flood Relief Appeal to provide immediate assistance and enable future rehabilitation. In this time of urgent need, please give your generous support to affected families and communities as they navigate this devastating crisis.
With your help, TCF will:
1. Provide 1 million meals to affected families
2. Rebuild homes for 5 thousand families
3. Rehabilitate TCF schools damaged by floods
The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a UK/US/Canada registered charity, has been operating for over 27 years, and do outstanding work with a particular focus on children and education. Your help will go a long way.
