Story
Sardarni Tarsem Kaur Rehal was the most kind and loving person you could meet, and would never hesitate to put the needs of others before her own. She was a devoted Sikh and showed us all how one should act and care for others no matter what. Her thoughtful words will never be forgotten, as well as her contagious laugh and the biggest heart to ever exist.
One way she would always show her love for people was through her cooking, which was everyone's favourite! She lived by the rule "Koi vi bhuka nahi javai" which means no one is to leave hungry. You would always leave her home with both heart and stomach full. We all had that special dish made by her that we would cherish.
Nishkam SWAT are a charity that help the homeless in so many ways, although their main goal is to provide free hot meals for the homeless, much like Langar is served in our Gurdwaras. Volunteers prepare and serve meals on a daily basis on the streets across the UK. As this was a cause that she was so passionate about, we as her family believe that donating all proceeds to Nishkam SWAT is the perfect way to honour her and her legacy.
