Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am proud to be part of Team Stewart, which has been set up by Louise to support her husband (my nephew) Marcus Stewart.

I am supporting Team Stewart in a collective fundraising effort to raise much needed awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and £100k for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, the charity supporting Marcus.

Many will know Marcus from growing up in the Hartcliffe Community, a local lad who went from grassroots football to playing in the Premier league.

When Marcus retired from playing he turned his skills to coaching and management.  Football is his life passion and he's been privileged to either play, coach, or be part of the management team, for Bristol Rovers, Bristol City, Huddersfield Town, Ipswich Town, Sunderland AFC, Exeter City, Walsall FC, and Yeovil Town.

But there is so much more to Marcus than his football achievements; he's the most genuine, kind hearted, funny, loyal and amazing person you could wish to meet.  He quietly does so much for so many but now he hopes he can help bring MND into the spotlight.

His diagnose of MND has more than rocked our world but we're going to focus on doing what we can to be part of finding the cause and cure.  We will #attackMND.

Please be part of the journey through love, support, action, prayer, and hope.  Let's make a difference in the lives of MND sufferers and their families - now and in the future.

I will be putting together 11 events taking place across 11 months with the help of some truly wonderful friends.  I hope you can attend some events; if not or you wish to donate directly you can through this page.  Any amount will be greatly appreciated.

This is for you Marcus - love always x
