Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Malcolm has Parkinsons and I love swimming, so I am entered in the annual 10Km swim down the R.Dart in Devon. Malc and family live in Devon so it makes sense to do a swim in his part of the country. The swim is on Sunday 6th September 2015. Even though I will wear a wet suit it is a cold river coming from Dartmoor. I have never swum this far in one go in open water and the experts tell us that it is the equivalent of running a marathon. Malcolm goes to Torridge his local branch of Parkinson's UK and he joins with friends to exercise and socialise, thus doing all he can to stem the progress of the disease. I cannot do anything to help him medically but with your help we can raise much needed funds to help the work his branch does and also go some way to help in finding a cure.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
