Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When Dogs Trust say 'a dog is for life', for a homeless person, their dog IS their life. 24/7 their faithful companion is at their side. As a dog lover and owner and as a therapist, I know the emotional and psychological benefit your canine companion gives you. If they get ill, Dogs Trust is there to help. Before the Hope project started no homeless hostel or shelter accepted dogs. Now at least 10% do, but we are actively campaigning to increase that. This year has been particularly hard, not only are there many fewer fundraising events but the restrictions around Covid and accommodation made life very difficult and too many people were forced to give up their dog. Dogs Trust took them in and cared for them until they could be reunited.
With my faithful two legged friends, Clare and Bee, we are sleeping rough for a night. I am well out of my comfort zone, so even if you don't like dogs, maybe the image of me without a toothbrush or make up in a sleeping bag might amuse you enough to donate and help me raise much needed funds to support this wonderful initiative.
As I'm sure you know, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure..
THANK YOU XXXX
