The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Summer Leigh Robertson (21)  had been volunteering in South Africa teaching young people about the dangers of drink and drugs amongst other things. She had been there for 10 weeks and was due home on the Tuesday 8th December 2014 but sadly drowned just 5 days before coming home.

Summer loved helping people and had a passion for animals. Therefore, as a tribute to her we would like to name a guide dog Summer.

An obvious combination of her loves has resulted in our choosing this particular charity, which will benefit others for years to come.
