We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

In only a few weeks time I am running the London Marathon for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

Our family has a very strong connection to the RNIB so I'd greatly appreciate your support. 5 years ago my father suddenly lost most of his vision and the RNIB provided immediate, practical and very valuable support. Your donation - however small - will help make sure others can benefit from this too.

For those of you who have had to endure weeks (months ... maybe longer) of me banging on about it I am truly sorry ... for those who have luckily avoided me, to summarise - a) it's been hard work training, b) my knees hurt, c) never again.

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
