Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It’s been many years now since I left the armed forces but they have never left me, for those of you that have served you’ll know just what I mean. Also, having spent 26 months under the care of the nurses and doctors of what used to be The Queen Elizabeth Military Hospital and the rehabilitation unit in Chessington, following a serious motorbike accident I had whilst serving, I also know how important the right rehabilitation is. Not just from the physical point of view but mentally too. So when I heard that a charity had been formed to help our injured young men and women I thought how fantastic.
So after signing up to the H4H site and buying a few bits and pieces, I noticed the fundraising part and immediately thought, great what can I do to give something back? It’s taken me a little while to get here but I am very proud that in November this year I will be trekking the Nepalese mountains to raise funds for this great charity. And I won’t be alone! I’m just as proud that my brother Drew will be joining me to also help raise funds for H4H. It really is going to be hoot doing this with him as he has been blessed with the greatest sense of humour of anyone I know, so I’m sure he’ll be keeping us all in fits of laughter.
Now, if your reading this hopefully it means you're about to donate; if you are, it doesn’t matter how much because I am just grateful that you have. But, if you are feeling very generous then why not check my brother’s JustGiving page too
www.justgiving.com/Drew-Greaves . A bit cheeky I know but hey, our brave young men and women deserve it.
To date, over a million people have responded to the H4H Appeal and millions of pounds have been raised to buy much needed services, but they need more! So far, they have allocated almost all of the money they have raised in order to fund direct projects and support other service charities.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now, and again, THANK YOU!!
