About Raise the Roof at St. Christopher's
St Christopher's Lea is a busy and thriving church and community centre, having served the area since 1947. It is used seven days a week for church services, a full-time nursery, scout and guide groups, a popular tea club, a dance/exercise group, Slimming World, social events, and it is hired out for special events like children's parties. St Christopher's is a hub of community life in the area, but all of this is now under threat after thieves stole a substantial amount of our copper roof material at the end of June (2019).
The roof material has been overdue replacement anyway. Now is the time to purchase a whole new roof so that we can safeguard the future of this important community asset for many more years to come. The Church PCC does not have enough funds for this at present, but with your generous help we can achieve this. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
