About St Aubin on the Hill Church
We, at St Aubin on the Hill need to raise £100,000 towards the cost of a NEW ROOF. We are a Big Hearted Church offering Worship, gardens for peace, growing Community produce and events for both child and adult. From a church first on site in 1747, it became unsafe in 1888 so on 19th April 1889 a committee collected money ‘to build a new church’. 133 years later our Action Committee is raising funds for a new roof. A new roof is a must to keep our Victorian building wind+water tight, to conserve heat and maintain a welcoming, beautiful space for the Community to use daily. A space for Wellbeing and Spiritual Guidance, to find hope, belief in self and support with one’s life. We are self-funding so donations are much appreciated. The roof is designated a Protected Maternity Roost for the vulnerable Grey Long Eared Bat; by donating, you would also be protecting their environment. One member says ‘This Church listens and accepts you where you are - it is a Space from where the Heart of our Community grows’. Donations of at least £10 can be used to have a roof tile named after someone, please leave their details with your amount. Names will be inserted in a Book on show in our church. For Events such as Cuppa and Care, Jubilee Competition, Bat Monitoring and others do follow our Facebook Page. Anyone wanting to do a Challenge or Event to Raise Funds, please consider linking it to our Raising the Roof JustGiving Page. Please do share our Page. Thank you very much for your kindness.
