This has been set up to support the many fund raising activities that the NI Fire and Recue Service have been doing to raise money for NI Chest Heart and Stroke.

 

Oct 12th 2013 sees the next event with a 1000k exercise challenge at Lisburn Leisureplex from 3pm to 5pm. 40 firefighters aim to run,row,cycle and swim 1000k in two hours. It's a big challenge but we know we can do it.

NI Chest Heart and Stroke have just started a prevention campaign to cut the number of people suffering from chest, heart and stroke-related illnesses. This ties in very well with the NIFRS fire-prevention campaigns that have been so successful over the past few years.
